MARRAKECH RIADS_DAR NAJAT,best romantic guest house in Marrakech

MARRAKECH RIADS_DAR NAJAT,best romantic guest house in Marrakech
My daughter and her three friends stayed in Dar Najat after they finished Uni last year. Their host Olivier and the staff were excellent and looked after them extremely well whilst they were there. I've just returned from Marrakech where I had the pleasure of meeting Olivier and his team, as well as visiting Dar Najat. I would thoroughly recommend a stay. They remembered the girls well and clearly enjoyed having them stay, as much as they enjoyed being there. My visit was memorable. Interestingly, I saw absolutely no sign of unrest in Marrakech and we felt very safe.

This traditional Riad has been thoughtfully restored. Superbly located for exploring this fascinating city on foot. it is a haven of peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Breakfast, taken on the roof terrace, was plentiful and varied. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful experience for our first visit to Morocco.

top place in Marrakech for cool people!

“Great position, great staff, wonderful stay!”
Arrived in Marrakech at lunchtime, picked up and transported to our hotel, to be met with friendly, smiling staff and a welcome beer. The stay only got better after this. The room we had (Walida) was clean and comfortable with an en-suite with a good, hot shower. The Riad is well positioned being only 5 minutes from the main square. The staff took us there the first time so that we didn't get lost, and gave us a mobile phone with all their numbers programmed in, in case we got lost or needed any help with anything - this was reassuring to two girls new to the sights and sounds of Marrakech.
The Riad really made our stay in Marrakech. It was a sanctuary from the madness in the main square and the friendly, helpful staff had a great sense of humour and made time to chat to us when we were about. The ambience at the Riad is great, partly helped by the layout including a rooftop terrace where we invariably bumped into other guests and shared our stories of our places we had been, and got tips on other places to visit.
In summary, I couldn't fault it, and feel that Riad dar Najat made our stay in Morocco extra special. I look forward to visiting again!

RIAD BAB MARRAKECH

The city of Marrakech is a bit overwhelming to first time visitors like we were. It can be very difficult to know whos advice to trust and who is just trying to extract a dirham or 5 from another gullible tourist. Praise be for the staff at the Riad Dar Najat who made us feel that we had a family to come home to at the end of each day. They all have a fantastic sense of humour and were always on hand to answer questions, they were even patient enough to try to teach us a bit of Arabic. Within an hour of arriving at the airport we had been picked up by, delivered to the riad, poured a beer, introduced to everyone and given a phone to use with all the staff numbers pre-programmed in in case we got lost. The phone came in very handy as the network reception for our O2 and Orange phones was extremely unreliable.

Our room (the superior twin Wallida) was a good, basic room with African art on the walls and rugs on the floor. It was a bit dark as the windows have coloured glass and face into the shady courtyard but in summer this would probably keep the room very cool. There is air conditioning as well and a docking station for your ipod. The shower had good pressure, the water was always hot and everything was clean. Our beds were firm and comfy and there were extra blankets for the chilly spring nights. That's all you really need for a sightseeing base, the majority of the time we were socialising on the roof terrace, reading our guide books on the landing with a g+t or out braving the mayhem in the city streets and souks.

Whether you should book the Riad depends on your reason for travel. For romantic, rose petalled luxury with a posh restaurant and spa, go to The Maison Arabe. It's beautiful, expensive, elegant and knows it. If you prefer an unpretentious holiday companion with bags of personality then The Riad Dar Najat is for you. It's close to many of the sights, particularly Jeema al fna square. The walk from the Riad to the square or the Riad to Kosybar (one of the only places you can sit outside with a bottle of wine) is realtively straightforward and my sister and I never felt threatened, even at 5am.

The incredible warmth and humour of the staff and the informal, funky African vibe puts everyone at ease so all the guests mingle happily over breakfast or sundowners and chatting to the other guests is definitely the best way to find out about the highs and lows of a visit to this amazing destination. I am going to visit Marrakech again with my daughters and will not even bother looking at any other places to stay, I already found the perfect place for us.

MARRAKECH BEST RIADS-DAR NAJAT&RIAD BAB MARRAKECH

riad marrakech
I booked this riad Dar najat http://www.dar-najat.com after having read reviews here, and I was pleased to see that I agreed with all the positive opinions. We had wonderful mornings on the roof top terrace, no sounds apart from little birds, and occasional chit chat by other guests, and were served the lovely breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, omelettes, bread, butter, marmelade, yoghurt, musli, cakes and good coffee. We stayed in lovely rooms, they were nicely decorated and quite adequate for our needs. We had dinner in the riad the first night, and you should be warned that the delicious menu includes far too much food, half of it would have been enough. The other nights we let Olivier the owner book different restaurants for us, and that worked out just fine. One day he arranged a driver to take us to the Atlas mountains. In the village of Siti Fatma we were met by a local guide who took us for a walk to a waterfall and a D-tour with wonderful panorama back to the village. Unfortunately I didn't notice the name of the guide, which I regret, because he was an excellent guide and a very nice person who really added to our experience of Morocco (also spoke splendid English).
One of the things mentioned by other reviewers is the position of the riad. We found it quite convenient in a back alley of busy Medina. You had the feeling of having ordinary people's every day life just around the corner, but at the riad is was complete peace and quiet. (I would not recommend to stay by a street with traffic.) After you had figured out the nearest way to the square(5mn walk) it was quite easy to walk back and forth, and you could as easily reach the new part of the city and Majorelle Gardens.Dar najat your are the best . http://www.coolest-riads-marrakech.co.uk

Marrakech Best Of-Riad Dar Najat

BEST RIADS MARRAKECH
We stayed in Dar najat for 4 nights and wow! What a great stay!
We were looking for a Riad in the Medina that was a little more understated than your typical Morrocan Riad, something close to the sights, something small and intimate, and something that offered great service.
We found all of those in Dar najat. Let's start with the Riad itself. We loved the design. Elegant yet understated. The terrace is a great place for breakfast and afternoon reading. . Our bedroom was very comfortable and adequately sized. The bed was fantastic, a good night's sleep everytime. A/C was cool and water pressure was strong. They offered breakfast with our rate and we had a an assortment of breads, pastries, jams and jellies, fresh juice and Moroccan mint tea (try it.. it's delicious!). The Riad is 5 mn walking distance from Jemma El Fna, Dar Si Siad, Koutobia, and other sights. Even though it's within the Medina walls, it's located in a quiet corner and you'll hear very little pedestrian noise or traffic which we found to be a big plus seeing how chaotic certain parts of the Medina can be. Olivier the owner is very accommodating and very helpful.as all his staff. They'll be happy to give you advice on what to do, where to go, places to dine and everything else in between. They'll sincerely go out of their way to be of assistance.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at dar najat. We highly recommend it and found our stay to be flawless. Even if something did go wrong, we had a feeling that they would have done their absolute best to resolve it. There was a sincerity among them that made you feel right at home. We'll never forget it.

MARRAKECH RIADS-RIAD DAR NAJAT

MARRAKECH RIADS-RIAD DAR NAJATThis riad is amazing! Before going to marrakech, we already saw manu great reviews about dar najat. It really lokked lovely on their webpage. But of course it's always a surprise if the reality is the same. Well...it was!!!!!! The Riad is lovely decorated, you feel home right away. It's so nice and tranquil, you have no idea you are in the middle of a busy city.

We were welcomed as if we were long lost friends by our amazingly funny host. Got free dinner afterwards and were told all the things you should know about what to do and what to see in marrakech.

The next day after a good nights sleep, we were accompanied to the Jeema el Fna square, so that we would know where to go, what a service!! And also, in case we would get lost...we were told to just call the riad and somebody would come pick us up. Luckily for us, we didnt get lost ;-), but its nice to know you're being so well taken care of!

The break fast by the way on the roof is amazing! Coffe, pastries, pancakes...you name it! And dinner at the riad was excellent. So we didnt feel like going out for dinner much, chilling at the riad, with cool lounge music on the back ground, all the friendly and funny hosts around made us feel so much at home. I've never experienced something like this in hotel at all.

If you go to marrakech...riad dar najat is the ONLY good choice you can make!!!! You definetely wont regret it.

Dar Najat crew, thank you so much for a great holiday!!!
